I will do my best to give my most unbiased opinion for Mango Cracky by Hype Juice. Said opinion is mine and mine alone as taste is subjective. Because of that reason I do not rate flavors on a scale but rather remark on the taste and quality so the readers can reach their own decision on whether they want to purchase the flavor or not. As always, read the warning signs on the labels, keep liquids away from children and practice safe vaping.
It looks like I will be spending the month of Ramadan reviewing Malaysian Flavors as today we look at Mango Cracky by Hype Juice which is part of Whitemist’s new Malaysian Select Line. It gets a little harder for me to review flavors during Ramadan as the time between iftar and sehr is too short considering all that I have to do. Nevertheless I soldiered on and spent a few days with the flavor to really understand what it is offering. It has a funny name i.e. Mango Cracky and that led me to believe that the flavor is some variation of Mango meaning sweet and all. When I performed the usual smell test I was surprised because although it is indeed mango but not the ripe yellow ones we all know and love instead it is based on green mangoes/unripe mangoes.
This came as a bit of a shock as I never expected to ever vape a green mango flavor. I mean, how would it work? Would it be extremely sour? Or tangy and sour both? The smell promises a very nice green mango experience and I do know there is koolada in this flavor. Other than the obvious flavor description giving it away there is another way to detect any koolada which is by performing a sharp inhale. If your nostril gets a little cold then that is evidence of koolada. Anyway, what I can tell my smelling the flavor is that this is a koolada based green mango flavor and at 60PG it should be heavy on the flavor.
*Mango Cracky- 60% PG / 40% VG – 6 mg*
*RDA with dual Clapton coils 0.54 ohm*
*Joyetech AIO 0.6 ohm*
*RTA with standard dual coils 0.5 ohm*
While the green mango comes through tangy and tart; the koolada is strong enough to feel like it might dampen the fun for me. At lower watts the koolada does come through strong but not as strong as the Elite Malaysian line. Disregarding the koolada for a minute lets talk about the base flavor. The green mango tastes great and comes as a welcome change from all the sweet flavors flooding the market (guilty of vaping those). Picture biting into a sour green mango straight from the fridge sans the optional masala, that is exactly the taste here albeit a lighter less sour variety.
I dont think anyone has had as many Koolada headaches as I have ever since I started reviewing the Malaysian koolada infused lines. The flavor is 60PG so it does carry more flavor meaning more koolada is felt which kills the nicotine throat hit. An RDA is a wrong choice to vape this flavor as all you can taste is koolada with green mango coming through as an after taste. Switching to an RTA and the AIO succeeds in bringing down the koolada to acceptable levels but in the AIO the flavor tones down as well so you are left with a slight green mango flavor. The RTA improved the mango flavor somewhat but not to the flavorful yet headache inducing level of the RDA.

Final Thoughts on Mango Cracky
Throat Hit: 7/10 – Marks off for the koolada and koolada hampering the nicotine from giving a throat hit.
Smell: 8/10 – Green mango is evident but not as strong as it should have been. A lighter caress rather than an assault of flavor on the olfactory senses.
Flavor Accuracy: 7/10 – Green mangoes are known for their tart, sour and tangy taste. While some of that is replicated here well, the main issue is that the flavor is toned down by the koolada to such an extent that we never end up tasting what the smell of the flavor promises.
This is a very unique flavor and true to form of Malaysian flavors it does bring through that solid fruitiness. My only complaint here is that the potential of the flavor is wasted by the koolada. A tad less koolada and a dash of more flavoring would have made this as perfect as the tasty cloud niner mango which nailed the flavor by accurately using the koolada to simulate a cold glass of slice juice. Still, mango cracky manages to be refreshing in its own toned down way and if you are in the market for a different non-sweet flavor then give this a go but DO NOT cloud chase with the flavor unless you love getting menthol headaches.
