I was given this flavor by Electronic Clouds for the purposes of this review. Hence, I will do my best to give my most unbiased opinion for Buckeye by Wapari Drops which should be taken for what it is i.e. ‘an opinion’ as taste is subjective. As always, read the warning signs on the labels, keep liquids away from children and practice safe vaping.
If there is one thing I have reaffirmed over the course of these Wapari Drop flavor reviews it is that 15 ml is indeed too less to get an accurate assessment of a flavor. The bottle finishes all too quickly when using 4 tanks (single fill each) so I had to leave out the dual coil rta for this test. Wapari drop’s Buckeye is another bakery flavor and is the second flavor from the Wapari Drops line that is being reviewed here at pakistanvapes.com
Starting with the smell test it is apparent that the flavor is bakery with strong notes of cookies and milk wafting through but oddly it doesn’t smell sweet. If you ever smelled I Love Cookies then know that the notes aren’t as strong and in effect the taste probably isnt as well. The cookie smell is not alone as I get slight hints of lemon which I was able to catch only because I had recently reviewed the lemon heavy StrawMonHead from ELite. The last note I feel is sort of custard-ey and to be frank I noticed it after a focus group smell test. An exciting match up of flavors that I cant wait to vape.
*Buckeye – 30 PG / 70 VG – 3 mg*
*RDA with dual Clapton coils 0.54 ohm*
*RDTA with dual clapton coils 0.35 ohms*
*RTA with single Parallel coil 0.3 ohm*
It says a lot about this flavor that it managed to taste slightly sweet even at lower watts. I experienced a pleasing taste of bakery interlaced with a pudding tone on the rdta and rda. Think along the lines of a cookie that is slightly sweet and has a undertone of lemon which is overpowered by a sort of vanilla pudding taste. It did tickle my throat a little which is characteristic of most bakery (cookie) flavors I have tried before. The single coil rta managed to squeeze out a soft lemon cookie taste with a tone of pudding that mellows the lemon tangyness on the exhale.
The throat irritation increased somewhat but but not enough to be unpleasant. Higher watts did manage to bolden the sweetness while helping the flavor developed a fuller tone. By fuller tone I mean here a slight tangyness from the lemon comes through proper which masks the prominent pudding tone felt at low watts. It feels proper like a lemon cookie dipped in vanilla pudding. The single coil rt resulted in a more emphasized lemon taste with a stronger pudding tone that managed to almost fully mask the cookie taste.

Final Thoughts on Buckeye
Throat Hit: 7/10 – Not completely smooth for some people.
Smell: 8/10 – While pleasing there is a definite lemon, cookie and pudding smell.
Flavor Accuracy: 7/10 – “Imagine a fresh baked, sweet, tangy lemon cookie, then imagine dunking that cookie into a bowl of warm banana pudding. Buckeye is that very experience, in an ejuice bottle.” There is no banana, you feel no banana whatsoever. I tried with multiple tanks and rewicked each one twice and had a few more people try it as well to be sure. No banana, more like milky-vanilla pudding in which a sweet slightly tangy lemon cookie was mixed.
Go for it: If you love cookie flavors, If you love dessert flavors, If you want sweet lemon cookie flavor, If you don’t love banana.
I think the most surprising and disappointing part of this review was finding out there was supposed to be banana pudding and failing to taste it. I considered the fact that maybe the lemon and the banana interacted in such a way that the latter was transformed into a more milky vanilla pudding taste. The flavor description however promised banana and not getting it is my sole contention. Otherwise the flavor is pleasing and I liked the taste of lemon cookie especially since the emphasis was on the cookie with lemon taking a backseat which is how a good lemon cookie should taste.
