“I was given this flavor by Vapors Loft for the purposes of this review. Hence, I will do my best to give my most unbiased opinion for Mega Melons by Cuttwood which should be taken for what it is i.e. ‘an opinion’ as taste is subjective. As always, read the warning signs on the labels, keep liquids away from children and practice safe vaping.”
So, competition ramps up in Pakistan as another vendor rears its head and this time in Karachi. Vapors Loft is a Karachi based vendor that currently only operates via their website which incidentally is still a work in progress as browsing it via my cellphone proved quite a task. There are many links on the website that lead to empty pages but my understanding is that those pages are going to be completed as soon as the products clear customs. Price wise the products follow current market trends so the only deciding factor flavor wise is going to be the variety and how fast you it it delivered to you (Karachiites get same day delivery).
My parcel of flavors reached me a mere 2 hours after order confirmation and Ill say the same thing I said on the Pakistan Vaping Community group on facebook i.e. this is why I no longer order internationally. Same day delivery without worrying about customs makes my vaping experience so much better. I agree the prices are higher especially for bulk eliquid purchases but then again that is the hand we have been dealt. The vapors loft order came in a bag the material of which is identical to the one used by WhiteMist co but while the latter mummify your order in bubble wrap; the former chose to go the route of these nifty boxes which ramp up the presentation factor. I can see myself keeping a few choice flavors in these boxes whenever I travel so as to keep them safe from bumps and all.
The warranty card and primer is not something we haven’t seen before as whitemist was the first one to come out with those although the vaporsloft primer is a tad more detailed in respect. The sad thing is I don’t think many people read these which is a damn shame as both primers contain important information for the novice vaper. One last mention goes to the Vapors loft business card which is nicely made and uses the same font as on the Whitemist card.
Anyway, lets get down to the flavor review of Mega Melons. I really do love melon flavors ever since I had my first taste of a melon vape during the ego pen kit era and then of Hedon’s bite which is a top favorite of mine to date. Mega Melons though does not smell purely of melons (so keep that in mind) but does end up smelling very nice and fruity. There is a very noticeable mango flavor that is merging with something that I cannot put my finger on but I am hoping it will manage to come through when I get on to the vaping bit.
*Mega Melons – ? PG / ? VG – 3 mg*
*RDA with dual coils 0.3 ohm*
*RDTA with dual coils 0.2 ohms*
*RTA with single Parallel coil 0.3 ohm*
Let me give you a one liner for the low wattage experience on my rda and rdta: It is a mixture of melon and mango but a tad harsh. Basically melon isn’t the main star as the name suggests and mango is easily detectable even though it merges with the melon to make something new. At this range you will mostly get melon and mango but be warned that there is a chance the flavor will seem harsh to you. The melon tastes a bit like melon candy here and the aftertaste is similar to guava. The single coil rta has a muted flavor output with emphasis on melon. It is not very flavorful at low watts with mango staying too far at the background.
This is the first time I have vaped cantaloupe melon and it would have been a very tasty experience except for the citrus harshness I got during the first few inhales. With my rda at high watts the prominent taste goes to the cantaloupe followed by mango while the exhale feels like guava because of the slight tartness of either the cantaloupe or the mango (hard to tell which). the flavor profile says it is papaya but it isn’t strong enough to bother any papaya haters nor strong enough to please any papaya fans like me. The single coil gives a dominant mango and melon mix that is very tasty and not as harsh (nor as powerful) compared to the dual coil setups. It tastes like a sort of like a tropical fruit fusion bubble gum. I didn’t enjoy this flavor in a single coil rta to be honest because the flavors didn’t come through that powerfully even at higher watts and I prefer my fruit flavors to be stronger.

Final Thoughts on Mega Melons
Throat Hit: 6/10 – Due to the inclusion of citrus elements (I’m guessing) there is a bit of harshness that detracts from the pleasing flavor.
Smell: 8/10 – The smell promises a fruity experience and interestingly the notes change depending on how you smell it.
Flavor Accuracy: 8/10 – “A trifecta of mango, cantaloupe and papaya creates this delectable combination of refreshing tropical flavors.” So far as the flavor profile is concerned, I give it high marks due to the easily detectable presence of all flavors but the papaya tends to keep in the background or mixes so well with the other three that it is not noticeable and ends up tasting like guava.
Go for it: If you want a fruity flavor, If you love melon and/or mango, If you want a tropical flavor.
Well, mega melons gives you more than melons which is a very odd thing considering its name. You would think a flavor named mega melons would be comprised of different types of melons and I admit I was under the same impression. It was only after the smell test, when I smelled mango, that I realized the name is a false flag. That aside it is a very pleasing fruit flavor that almost reached the top of my list but the harshness brought it down. I blame the type of flavorings they used as Ive vaped citrus flavors like strawmonhead without issue which means that the flavorings used by cuttwood has something (stronger citrus base) that will be harsh for some vapers. Still, I would not have imagined that cantaloupe, mango and papaya go so well together; tasting sweet yet not artificial candy type sweet.
Well, there you have it. If you have any feedback then please leave a comment below.
