Gamma Guava

Gamma Guava from the PVC line – Review

Gamma Guava isnt just pure guava that has been remixed. As far as the flavor description explains it is ADV worthy and has tones of other fruits as well. The bar I have set for ADV flavors is quite high so a claim like that is interesting for me. Recently I did review a guava flavor from Big Cloud Vaping called NKTR Guava and I am going to do a small comparison at the end of the review to see how this flavor fares against a US branded flavor. Vapers in Pakistan have a fixation with all things US believing them to be the highest quality and that isn’t bad when the ingredients are supported by facts substantiating said level of quality but the fixation undergoes a perversion when you see the vapers disparage locally blended flavors even though they are importing and using the same ingredients used by US flavor manufacturers except for Spade Vapes who uses local ingredients. I hope this review helps in remedying that view somewhat if not fully.

Testing setups

*Gamma Guava from the PVC line – 3 mg*

Two RDAs with a single and dual coils each.

Two RTAs with a single and dual coils each.

All setups use Rayon as I find that gives a cleaner taste with a short break in time.

Coils are everything from standard coils to fancy juggernaut coils.

Lower watts (Below 4v)

For those of you on a:

RTA = Expect strawberry and pineapple with a like citrus kick to arrive before the almost not there guava.

RDA/RDTA = Expect a bit of harshness from the pineapple before notes of strawberry with what may be guava reached you.

Conclusion: I honestly didnt feel there was enough guava at this range to impress me. It maybe because strawberry or pineapple are too strong.

Higher watts (Above 4v)

For those of you on a:

RTA = Expect sweet guava mixed with strawberry. The pineapple is there but the sweetness of the first two fruits has killed it off quite a bit.

RDA/RDTA = Expect the mild sweet notes of guava and strawberry with some small level of pineapple near the end, the harshness has returned somewhat.

Conclusion: Higher watts caused the sweetness to ramp up and brought the guava taste into play. It reminded me of NKTR Guava as the taste was similar sans the additional strawberry and pineapple.

Nicotine Ratios

In case some of you are new and dont know what nicotine strength to get just go through the list below and decide. Not every flavor is available in every nicotine strength however and the best way to find out is to ask the vendor. This list will be present in every review from now on regardless of whether or not that flavor comes in the listed strengths. The strengths do not mean MG per bottle but rather MG per ML.

  • None = 0 mg.
  • Very Smooth = 1.5mg (Direct lung vaping/Subohming territory).
  • Soft = 3mg (Direct lung vaping/Subohming territory).
  • Light = 6mg is approx equivalent to smoking 10 light cigarettes a day.
  • Medium = 12mg is where MTL territory starts and this strength is best for a half a pack – a pack a day smokers.
  • Strong = 18mg should be used by people who find 12mg too less or who smoked a pack of hard cigarettes a day.
  • Very Strong = 24mg is not usually available in the market but some local blenders might make a custom strength flavor for you on request. Bear in mind this is a very high level of nicotine and usually 18mg does the trick. In case you are wondering, this is best for chain smokers and/or those that smoke a couple of packs a day of hard cigarettes.

Final Thoughts on Gamma Guava

Throat Hit : The higher the score, the smoother the flavor.

07/10 – The flavor wasnt as smooth as it should be at 3mg.

Flavor Accuracy: A high score here means that the flavor’s taste matches the manufacturer’s claimed flavor description. Basically if it says its mango cream and tastes like mango cream then it gets a 10.

09/10 – “Gamma Guava eliquid is a combination of fresh guavas with undertones of strawberries and pineapples. If you’re looking for a new fruity all day vape, look no further.” This fruity flavor does have all three components claimed in the description so full marks for that. All day vape worthy is a subjective matter but as far as I am concerned this isnt a flavor I can vape all day or would want to. It tasted very similar to NKTR Guava so fans of that flavor will love this as well. Does the fruitiness beat malaysian fruit flavors? No, it does not but then again it wont kill your coils as fast either. My coil did gunk up somewhat while vaping this but the wick stayed whitish in color thankfully. I knocked off a mark for the almost negligible tones of guava on lower watts; if the flavor name says guava then the guava must be a opening batsman, not a tail-ender.

Go for it: If you like a fruity flavors, If you like flavors based on guava and strawberry.

The views expressed above are my own and based on my personal experience and knowledge accumulated over the years I have spent vaping. They are to be taken as it is i.e. an opinion and do not represent anything else. I received the flavor Gamma Guava from the PVC Line for my personal opinion/review and I have done my best without any bias whatsoever. As always remember taste is subjective and please practice safe vaping.
