Golden Thrill by Vampire Vapes

Golden Thrill by Vampire Vapes gave me the impression that this flavor would be a sort of bakery flavor but turns out it is Mango. I know what you are thinking, as far as mango flavors go, Malaysian flavors are your best bet and for good reason BUT not everyone likes menthol laced flavors or the fact that malaysian flavors gunk up the coil very fast. Golden Thrill might just offer an alternative for such users even though I must admit it would be a surprise for me if a UK brand came up with a good mango.

Testing setups

*Golden Thrill by Vampire Vapes  – 3 mg*

Two RDAs with a single and dual coils each.

All setups use Rayon as I find that gives a cleaner taste with a short break in time.

Coils are everything from standard coils to fancy fused clapton coils and when possible Coils by Afzal Hanif.

Lower watts (Below 4v)

Not off to a good start with soft notes of mango barely coming through at the end while im greeted with a slight harshness during the inhale. Good levels of sweetness here but it also feels like there is a minute level of menthol added in the mix as well.

Conclusion: If you like vaping a sweet but very very mild tasting mango flavor then stay at this range but for me the main flavor should come out arms swinging to make an impact.

Golden Thrill by Vampire Vapes

Higher watts (Above 4v)

Definite hint of menthol in there somewhere. Noticeable quite clearly at the exhale which feels cooler than usual. Anyway, the mango here is a few notches above what you get at the lower range but definitely isnt as rich as Malaysian flavors.

Conclusion: A sweet lip-smacking mango that falls short of Malaysian flavor greatness but should impress the lot of you who have despaired at the standard of mango flavors by UK and US juice makers.

Not available in Pakistan at the moment. Only choice for now is make an international order.

Nicotine Ratios

In case some of you are new and dont know what nicotine strength to get just go through the list below and decide. Not every flavor is available in every nicotine strength however and the best way to find out is to ask the vendor. This list will be present in every review from now on regardless of whether or not that flavor comes in the listed strengths. The strengths do not mean MG per bottle but rather MG per ML.

  • None = 0 mg.
  • Very Smooth = 1.5mg (Direct lung vaping/Subohming territory).
  • Soft = 3mg (Direct lung vaping/Subohming territory).
  • Light = 6mg is approx equivalent to smoking 10 light cigarettes a day.
  • Medium = 12mg is where MTL territory starts and this strength is best for a half a pack – a pack a day smokers.
  • Strong = 18mg should be used by people who find 12mg too less or who smoked a pack of hard cigarettes a day.
  • Very Strong = 24mg is not usually available in the market but some local blenders might make a custom strength flavor for you on request. Bear in mind this is a very high level of nicotine and usually 18mg does the trick. In case you are wondering, this is best for chain smokers and/or those that smoke a couple of packs a day of hard cigarettes.

Final Thoughts on Golden Thrill by Vampire Vapes

Throat Hit : The higher the score, the smoother the flavor.

09/10 – Tolerable levels of harshness that most will discount but its there and merits a loss of a point.

Flavor Accuracy: A high score here means that the flavor’s taste matches the manufacturer’s claimed flavor description. Basically if it says its mango cream and tastes like mango cream then it gets a 10.

10/10 – “An exotic mango taste like no other. This slippery fruit has managed to slide it’s way into greatness with this crazy-sweet fruity mix!” Top marks here since it is an exotic mango taste like no other and boasts a level of sweetness many will find appealing.

Menthol: Rating of menthol levels in menthol flavors. A rating of 10 means very high and 1 means a slight hint of menthol. A low score here is NOT a bad thing!

01/10 – I still wont classify this as a menthol flavor since I feel menthol flavors should have a certain stronger presence than what we get here but it has a minute level of menthol that I feel should have been increased to counter the slight harshness.

Go for it: If you like Mango flavors, If you like sweet flavors.

For me the vaping experience started out on a bad note as I immediately noticed the slight harshness which made me groan with displeasure. However as any good reviewer will tell you, you have to keep on vaping a flavor to fully appreciate the nuances and all before giving your verdict. The flavor like ive mentioned a few times in the review is not one that can de-throne malasyian mango flavors but it comes close. As far as the coil gunking goes I am expecting a certain level of gunk at the 50-60ml mark because of the level of sweetness but that should be good enough considering how fast malaysian flavors are known to gunk up coils.
