Grape Escape by Saucy

Grape Escape by Saucy

I am back after a long repeated bout of sore throat and chest infection caused by the weird ass weather in the city for the past few weeks. Anywho I decided to dive back in and start reviewing flavors pronto. The first one is Grape Escape by Saucy, now, I don’t particularly like grape flavors mainly because I’ve never liked the fruit itself. Where grape flavors are concerned I admit there might be some stellar ones out there but for me they were too intense. See, for someone who doesn’t care much for grapes, vaping a grape flavor where the grape was very prominent just made me want to give the flavor away. I do know there is a melon flavor in the range too but sadly I wasn’t sent that.

Testing setups

*Grape Escape by Saucy  – 3 mg*

Two RDAs with a single and dual coils each.

All setups use Rayon as I find that gives a cleaner taste with a short break in time.

Coils are everything from standard coils to fancy fused clapton coils and when possible Coils by Afzal Hanif.

Lower watts (Below 4v)

A very very mild grape hit. No harshness and a soft sweetness. Think aromatic MILD grape and you will understand what I mean.

Higher watts (Above 4v)

A slight increase in harshness that disappointingly diminishes the enjoyment at this range. The grape becomes slightly more prominent and sweet but does not match the intensity of malaysian grape flavors. There might be blueberries in there somewhere but I fail to taste any. In my opinion it is a flowery, aromatic yet potent grape flavor.

Overall Impressions

Not a straight forward grape flavor. For those of you used to vaping Malaysian fruit flavors; you might will be disappointed since its not a true grape tasting flavor. Think a perfumey flowery grape instead of head on strong grape. Grape Drank lovers will find this either odd and weak or a nice change of pace. Its like if Donkey Kahn came out with a variation that smelled great but all the fruits lost half the potent taste. Is it bad? No, its not bad at all. Its different and great for many but I dont want you going in expecting to be slapped silly by a delicious hardcore BDSM loving grape only to find yourself weeping in sorrow being gently caressed by a grape that sees you just as a friend.

Nicotine Ratios

In case some of you are new and dont know what nicotine strength to get just go through the list below and decide. Not every flavor is available in every nicotine strength however and the best way to find out is to ask the vendor. This list will be present in every review from now on regardless of whether or not that flavor comes in the listed strengths. The strengths do not mean MG per bottle but rather MG per ML.

  • None = 0 mg.
  • Very Smooth = 1.5mg (Direct lung vaping/Subohming territory).
  • Soft = 3mg (Direct lung vaping/Subohming territory).
  • Light = 6mg is approx equivalent to smoking 10 light cigarettes a day.
  • Medium = 12mg is where MTL territory starts and this strength is best for a half a pack – a pack a day smokers.
  • Strong = 18mg should be used by people who find 12mg too less or who smoked a pack of hard cigarettes a day.
  • Very Strong = 24mg is not usually available in the market but some local blenders might make a custom strength flavor for you on request. Bear in mind this is a very high level of nicotine and usually 18mg does the trick. In case you are wondering, this is best for chain smokers and/or those that smoke a couple of packs a day of hard cigarettes.

Final Thoughts on Grape Escape by Saucy

Throat Hit : The higher the score, the smoother the flavor.

08/10 – The first few hits always feel harsh. Overall I expect absolute smoothness from 3mg.

Flavor Accuracy: A high score here means that the flavor’s taste matches the manufacturer’s claimed flavor description. Basically if it says its mango cream and tastes like mango cream then it gets a 10.

07/10 – “Steal away on a whimsical adventure through the clusters of mouthwatering grapes and plump blueberries.” Blueberries? Beats me, I didnt taste any. Called 15 to filed a missing flavor note report and the police told me to stop wicking with rose petal tissue rolls. Jokes aside, I got no taste of blueberries although it could very well be the reason why the grape didnt end up being strong and loving bdsm.

Menthol: Rating of menthol levels in menthol flavors. A rating of 10 means very high and 1 means a slight hint of menthol.

NA/10 – Not a menthol flavor.

Go for it: If you like candy type flavors, If you like fruit flavors, If you like grape flavors.
